Important Rules & Compliance Standards

  • The proposed parking bay must be within MBIP's administrative jurisdiction and under an applicable MBIP parking arrangement.
  • Applicants must identify the proposed parking bay number and requested rental period.
  • MBIP's published application form is titled Borang Permohonan Petak Bermusim (ULK/01).
  • Applicants must provide accurate personal or company details and premises information.
  • Supporting documents include identification, SSM registration, a current business licence and photographs of the premises and parking bay, as applicable.
  • A location plan may be required to identify the requested parking bay.
  • MBIP's published rental conditions specify RM100 per month per approved bay.
  • MBIP's earlier FAQ states a minimum six-month rental period for seasonal bays; applicants should verify the current minimum period.
  • Rental charges must be paid according to the approved terms.
  • Only the parking bays specifically approved by MBIP may be used under the seasonal rental arrangement.
  • MBIP's published conditions describe approved reserved bays as being marked in yellow with the words PETAK RIZAB.
  • The tenant must not construct buildings, conduct business activities or place unauthorised signs or obstructions within the parking bay without written permission.
  • The seasonal parking arrangement must not be used to unlawfully obstruct traffic, public access or surrounding premises.

  • MBIP's published renewal conditions require the tenant to notify the Council at least one week before rental expiry if an extension is sought.
  • Rental renewal is not automatic and remains subject to MBIP's applicable requirements.
  • MBIP may cancel a rental arrangement for failure to comply with conditions, non-payment or relevant traffic congestion complaints, subject to applicable law.
  • The applicant must not assume that a Monthly Parking Pass grants exclusive rights to a specific reserved bay.
  • Approval and payment do not authorise any business activity outside the applicable business licence.
  • Applicants must confirm the current application procedure through Parkmax@Johor or the MBIP Parking Unit.
  • The MBIP Enforcement Department publishes a five-working-day service target for approval of seasonal parking applications; this is a service target, not a guarantee for incomplete or unsuitable applications.
