What is CIDB ?
Introduction to CIDB
CIDB is the enforcement agency responsible for regulating the quality of construction products. By issuing approval certificates, it ensures that mandatory certified products comply with Malaysian standards.
Besides, CIDB is also divided into two types:
1: One type is given to companies
2: One is given to individuals
CIDB Grade
1: Grade G1
The tender does not exceed RM 200,000.
2: Grade G2
The tender does not exceed RM 500,000.
3: Grade G3
The tender does not exceed RM 100,000.
4: Grade G4
The tender does not exceed RM 300,000.
5: Grade G5
The tender does not exceed RM 500,000.
6: Grade G6
The tender does not exceed RM 100,000.00
7: Grade G7

Before starting construction projects, a valid CIDB registration certificate must be held.
1: Individual - up to RM 5,000
2: Company - minimum RM 10,000 to maximum RM 100,000

All kinds of renovation contractors, such as: air conditioning, electrical wiring, plastering, plumbing, cement, floor tiles, iron doors, iron grilles, furniture, painting, awnings, curtains, roofing, and other similar types of renovation contractors.
Employees and companies
Whether you are a foreigner or a local, if you do any renovation work without a CIDB certificate, you will be fined.
So what is a company CIDB license?
The company's CIDB License has a total of 7 grades, with the lowest being G1 and the highest being G7. The conditions and requirements for each grade are different. If you do not have a CIDB certificate, your business will be suspended and you will be fined, with a minimum of 10,000 Malaysian Ringgit and a maximum of up to 100,000 Malaysian Ringgit.

1: All types of companies operating in the construction industry have a mandatory requirement, which is that all renovation companies need to obtain a license issued by the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB).
2: The CIDB license can be renewed and can be used for at least one year (and up to three years).
3: Before engaging in any construction and related activities in Malaysia, it is necessary to obtain a CIDB license:

CIDB Green Card (Individual)
1: This is a comprehensive program involving the registration and certification of employees to enhance the safety standards on construction sites.
2: All construction personnel entering the construction site must present a green card to facilitate their entry and exit.
3: Registered construction workers will enjoy a special CIDB insurance plan.
Renovation companies should assist employees in registering to ensure their safety and health. Once registered, each construction worker must attend a one-day safety and health course. This is to ensure that all construction workers understand the importance of the legal requirements regarding safety and health.
