A WRT License (Wholesale, Retail, and Trade License) is issued by the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN) to allow individuals or companies to operate businesses in Malaysia’s wholesale, retail, trading, and distribution sectors.
All foreign-owned or foreign-participated companies (with at least 51% foreign equity) involved in wholesale, retail, trading, import, or export activities must obtain a WRT License before starting operations in Malaysia.
